A Word About our Work Ethic

Again we must write and explain the way we work to our customer base.

We recently stopped plating Glock Slides as some know. The reasoning behind this is partly that we always want everything that leaves our shop to look its very best. Some people have a different view of what to expect or their own idea of what looks good.

The Glock SLides have always been difficult to plate properly. I think due to the type of steel used, the thickness of the slide component and the black coating used by Glock at the factory. Many other factors enter in as well that will not be discussed here. We only have control over a few of these.

With those facts we have decided to stop the plating of Glocks Slides rather than put out substandard work.

As in the past our work will continue to speak for itself. We will continue to produce the highest quality finishes and service in the industry. Substandard work can be obtained just about anywhere these days. Real quality must be sought out carefully. We always want the Metaloy name to be synonymous with quality.
